What happens when the sun isn’t shining?

When the sun doesn’t shine it’s true your solar panels won’t generate electricity – but there is a solution to that! A solar battery! A Solar battery installed with your solar PV system can save you energy to use it on a day when you don’t generate as much.

How long will the installation take?

Auspro can install your system within a couple of weeks of your approval. If you however,choose to go with a retailer or a distributor it can take as long as 6-8 weeks.

Will I need a new switchboard or a metre?

Your electric meter will need to be solar compatible. When our solar specialists visit and evaluate your site, they will be able to consult you with suitable options.

Does roof orientation matter?

A system pointing facing north will generate more because of the position of Australia facing the sun.

Is it difficult and expensive to maintain?

Not with Auspro's help. We will advise suitable panels for your property with in your budget when we consult you. Meaning you will have little to no maintenance required.

How much roof space is needed?

A 5kW system needs 50m2, 66m2 for a 6.6kW and 100m2 for a 10kW. Panels traditionally range from 1.7 meters high by just under a meter long.

When will the solar be turned on?

The solar system will be turned on after the grid connection has been completed. Auspro will submit the grid connection documents to your electricity distributor, and they will arrange for a bi-directional smart meter to be installed.

What happens in a blackout?

The inverter is programmed to automatically shut off within milliseconds of a blackout to avoid a potentially dangerous brown-out on your premises. During a blackout your premises will not have power.
